Finger Lakes Dairy Services Inc. is based in Seneca Falls with products and services provided to dairy customers in Central, Northern and Western NY state. Our sales staff will help you find solutions to your ever changing farm needs including: milking, cooling, feeding, manure handling and dairy supplies. Our experienced and resourceful installation team provide a smooth transition to new or retrofitted facilities. With 24 Hour Emergency Service, our technicians are diagnosing and repairing all types of dairy system service calls quickly and efficiently. Our professional and friendly route sales consultants call on your farm with a wide variety of items including animal health products, sanitation chemicals, and other items important to the efficiency of your farm.

Company History:

Finger Lakes Dairy Services, Inc has been providing solutions to dairies since 1991, founded by Daryl Hurst. Hurst’s introduction to refrigeration was working for A. Hoover Refrigeration of  Cato. At the age of 19, he purchased this business and renamed it Hurst’s Refrigeration and operated the business from his Father’s shop, primarily servicing used milking and cooling equipment, featuring BouMatic and NuPulse.Hurst formed a partnership with 2 employees, changing the business name to Finger Lakes Dairy Service Inc. They began a route delivery service to farms, featuring farm supplies and EcoLab sanitation chemicals.

1995,Hurst’s Refrigeration became a dealer for feeding and manure handling equipment thru J-Star Inc.

1997,a property on Noble Road was purchased to house the developing company.

2002,Trioliet BV was brought on as the supplier for TMR mixers.

2005,with the Noble Road facility remaining as a warehouse, the offices and dairy supply store were moved to the current Ovid Street location.

2007,FLDS became a certified Lely dealer providing cutting edge dairy technology to its customers

2009,FLDS acquired Mueller as a supplier of milk cooling equipment.

2015,FLDS became a dealer for Madero rotary parlors and Afi farm automation.
